USTA 18+

Districts in Salt Lake City

Because our USTA 18+ team won the wildcard tournament in May, plus we are undefeated for the season, we will for sure be playing at Districts in Salt Lake City. There is a lot of strategy and attention our team captains put into developing a strong team. There is a lot of thought and strategy that goes into serving as a captain.  To read more about being a captain, follow this link to my Blog. Link to My Blog

Have you heard the expression, “Look great, play great” well this is a saying that resonates with me. I have many parts of playing on a league team that I really enjoy, but one of my favorite parts is what to wear as a team. This can be a challenge because each player is different in what they are comfortable playing in. Here are some thoughts that I have compiled Link to My Blog 10 Best Tennis Skirts to help in the planning process of finding cool outfits to coordinate to make a team look great.

Family Trip

Wimbeldon

After we compete at Districts, my bags will be packed and ready to go for a family trip to England. Traveling with my tennis racquet has now become like second nature. For a few tips and tricks I have learned along the way easily travel with a racquet, read my blog Can You Travel With A Racquet on a PlaneLINK HERE .

I put a lot of planning and strategy into place when I pack for a trip. When attending Wimbledon, it is definitely worth paying attention to the details and pulling out all the fashion tricks. Check out my LTK shop. This is a really cool tool where you can see all of the amazing finds and be alerted to sales. You just need to get the LTK app and then go to Shop LTK

My daughter is attending school in London, while a trip is always fun there will be plenty of tennis afoot as well. Stay tuned for our experience at the All Lawn Tennis Club, also known as Wimbledon. This has been a pretty big bucket list item, and attending Wimbledon is not for casual tennis fans. I will share everything I learn about attending the Wimbledon Grand Slam.

Also, plans are falling into place to not only watch tennis, but hopefully play on some tennis courts as well. Stay tuned for more tennis goodness on grass courts in the United Kingdom.

Wimbledon is a tournament where you definitely want to dress to impress. Check out my LTK Shop for everything you need to know about dressing the part both on and off of the tennis courts. Link to shop.

You can get fancy with cheese graters, but for this recipe, a good basic cheese grater works great. I like to use a blend of grated cheese and I do think that the cheese grated at home with a tool like this tastes better than the pre grated cheese at the store. The extra elbow grease is worth it.

This brand of bouillon is simply our family’s favorite. I use the chicken flavor for this dish, but use both of these products often. Store in the refrigerator after opening. So delicious and tons of flavor!

This is the brand that I use when I make this dish. If my family wants extra heat on their serving they add it later.

If everyone likes more heat you can use a mustard that is hotter. But either way, I advise using the powdered variety.
