Making a Racquet in October

A monthly update for the Tennis Yellow lifestyle.

USTA Fall

Outdoor is finishing up and time to sign up for indoors

Fall is a magical time here in the mountains of Utah. The trees are changing and the weather is cooling. That makes me think that “Court Cozy” season is upon us!

USTA league is slowing down a bit, but as any league player knows… there is always more tennis. With a chill starting to be felt in the air, check out these “Court Cozy” looks in my LTK Shop. Whether you are on the court, or simply court adjacent, it is great to look great and feel great in what you wear. Here are some of the great finds that I have discovered.

My "Court Cozy" Finds

Trip to Florida

Racket War

Recently I was invited to join my friend, Alex Chen (IG: alexchantennis) to play in the Racquet War at Amelia Island. Racquet War is a really fun event to attend with friends to have a great weekend of competitive play while also having a great time socializing. I met so many cool people and enjoyed hanging out in beautiful Amelia Island. Next time I attend Racquet War, I would love to invite my league ladies to hang out at a beautiful resort, play competitive tennis and enjoy a weekend away! If you are looking for a fun activity, I highly recommend checking out Racquet War. They host events all over the United States.

Great Looks for Fall

After time spent in Amelia Island, I returned home to my recently returned daughter. She finished Graduate School and while she is looking for a job, she has become my favorite doubles partner. Between tennis and the myriad of things to keep as in Utah, we are keeping the courts busy! Speaking of courts, here are some cool fall looks for on and off of the court that I found at Target. Target has some great options that are gentle on the wallet. Looking cute is one of the fun parts of being a tennis player.

A Great Read for October

Speaking of “Court Cozy” one of my favorite things to do is to curl up with a fun book or enjoy a book on Audible. I discovered a really cool read, Bad Summer People by Emma Rosenblum that I highly recommend to a tennis lover that also enjoys a good read. It is set around a community involved with tennis and there is a mystery to be solved. A perfect read for the month of October!

The image will link you to purchase the book.

Recipe of the Month

Creamy Butternut Squash Soup

With fall in the air, and my house hopping with energy, it is a great opportunity to bust out some of the favorite foods that my family enjoys. Nothing says fall like a delicious homemade pot of soup. This is one of my all time favorites, it is Creamy Butternut Squash Soup. Enjoy!

It is not too early to consider Fall Decor when you are planning your Harvest Looks. Check out my LTK Shop for some really fun Halloween and Harvest Decor. These things do sell out, so make sure and take a look before it is gone.
