Making a Racquet in August 2025
A monthly update for the Tennis Yellow lifestyle.

š¾ Welcome to August
August is here, and with it comes a mix of end-of-summer energy and new beginnings. From USTA Districts and Sectionals heating up across the country to the buzz building around the US Open, thereās no shortage of thrilling tennis moments to watch and or play in. And as back-to-school routines settle in, itās the perfect time to refresh your tennis bag, snag a new sideline look, or stock up on end-of-summer finds. Iāve linked my favorite court-to-carpool picks, hydration must-haves, and US Open-worthy tennis fitsāall in one place on LTK. Whether you’re competing, cheering, or just pretending to be organized, Tennis Yellow is here to keep it fun, functional, and court-chic.
āļøDistricts and Sectionals - What to Wear to watch and play
August brings serious tennis energy! USTA Championships are in full swing and teams across the country are fighting for their spot at Sectionals. Our team pulled off a win at Districts (yay!) and weāre now headed to Denver, Colorado for Sectionals. One of the fun traditions at this level? Each team is assigned a color to incorporate into their look. I am beyond thrilled because our color is light pink! Naturally, Iāve been scouting the cutest light pink pieces to bring our team vibes to life. Here is a link to my favorite finds in my LTK shop so you can check them out, save them for later, or grab a few for your own match-day style

šš¾Thereās nothing quite like New York in tennis season
While weāre gearing up for our own championships, the pros are preparing for the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Of course that is the US Open. Thereās nothing quite like New York in tennis season. The city buzzes with energy: Times Square lights up with match highlights, hotel lobbies bloom with tennis-inspired floral displays, and everyone seems just a little more obsessed with forehands and fashion. The US Open is known for its electric atmosphere and bold style momentsāon and off the court. Iāve rounded up some current looks that are serving serious New York energyāperfect for watching, wandering, or winning.Ā
If you are interested in checking out those looks, consider following me on LTK where I share cool finds and alert people who follow to sales and new drops.
